Hanging Threads is a contemporary Indian brand, founded in 2019 by Riniki Hazra.

The brand was established with a social mission: to preserve the esteemed tradition of Indian Handloom Fabric making, which faces threats from the rapid pace of industrial fast fashion trends.

We envision ourselves as a socially conscious brand, aiming to drive positive change as a leading advocate for artisan-based practices. Our goal is to pioneer industry transformation and promote the sustainability of rural craft livelihoods in India.

At Hanging Threads, we embrace the art of effortless dressing, embodying sophistication, grace, and simplicity. We are committed to crafting fashion and luxury with sustainability at the forefront, utilizing handwoven cotton fabrics in our collections to benefit the environment and uphold the rich heritage of Indian textile craftsmanship.

We believe that our choices in clothing can spark significant change. By embracing sustainable living daily, we can catalyze a profound revolution centered around empowering artisans in small villages. Our designs serve as a vehicle for the concept of ethical living.
